Concert Karma

I just got back from what may well be the second best concert of the year (the best being, of course, the Sigur Rós show in Ottawa). The American Analog Set played the Horseshoe on Sunday night, and they were overwhelming. The band was as tight as any I’ve ever seen, and they sounded terrific. They even played “live show” variants of songs like the brilliant “Hard to Find”, which made the experience even more phenomenal. The, uh, scenery at the show was fantastic too – cute, aerodynamically curvaceous indie rock girls everywhere!

No, I don’t buy into the idea of a supreme being …

Last night I saw a poster for a new energy drink called Pimpjuice. Perhaps this reveals the bent of my brain, but my first thought was “Just how many freshly squeezed pimps are there in a can of Pimpjuice?”. I’m always amazed at the abuse heaped upon the English language. Once again, I’m not disappointed by human stupidity.
