Best Summer for Concerts Ever

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

Just looking at the upcoming concerts in iConcertCal, and it looks like this summer is one of the best summers for concerts ever. Check it out:

  • July 27 – Metric
  • August 5 – Nine Inch Nails
  • August 15 – Radiohead
  • September 5 – Tortoise
  • September 5 – Spiritualized
  • September 13 – The Dandy Warhols
  • September 25 – My Bloody Valentine
  • October 1 – Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
  • October 7 – Pinback

Now the $20,000 question – which ones to go to?

MBV

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

After a decade-plus long absence, the mighty My Bloody Valentine are back, and they’re playing in Toronto on September 25th! They’re playing the Ricoh Coliseum, which kind-of sucks – I almost always refuse to go to large venues to see concerts anymore. However, just as I made an exception when I saw Dead Can Dance at Massey Hall, I’m making one for MBV, because I don’t think there will be too many, if any, chances to see them again.

I’m actually giddy about this concert – I’ve loved MBV since I first heard “Isn’t Anything” back in 1988, but never got to see them live. Now, I finally get my chance.
