I saw My Bloody Valentine last week, and I’m still on somewhat of a high from the show. I’m not sure I can describe the experience any better than the review at Chromewaves, so I’ll not even try. The only difference of opinion I have with the review would be regarding the middle act – though she’s a pleasant enough singer, Gemma Hayes seemed out of place at the show, and every song ended with a seemingly tacked-on wall of reverb and shimmer, as if to make the songs fit the night, albeint artificially so. That didn’t take away anything from the overall experience though – if I ever get the chance to see MBV again, you can bet I’ll be there.
